"Stamina and Liz" (detail)

Stamina was a small fine boned unregistered Thoroughbred whose mother was Survival, by Native Dancer. Her dished face and lovely soft eye belied her high strung but intelligent attitude. Everyone said that she would never follow hounds, she was too flighty etc., but Liz ended up with her and decided it could be done. With patience from a good rider she was fabulous and they had many a great day. Sadly the mare foundered badly for no apparent reason and her sensitive nature couldn't bring her through. Pictured here in a casual setting looking over fox country they are both very happy.
