All the paintings you see here have been done from sketches made in the saddle while riding to hounds. Carrying a small sketch pad in a special appointment case made especially for the artist, she is able to quickly catch a few notes that will jog her powers of observation later in the studio. Naturally this cannot be done at a full gallop but she has found she can draw at the trot!
