Although it is powered by horsepower, this was one of the most unusual commissions Claudia ever had. The owner, an exacting collector of only the rarest of cars had sold this one several years before and drove a replica for fun. He wanted a portrait of the car, a 1934 Mercedes K, done in front of Berdesgarten. He provided excellent photos as the car was in England at the time, and was fastidious that the black was a certain black that no film could capture. Mission accomplished and it was fun to do.Note, although impossible to see on the Net, in the hubcap is reflected the background behind the artist and the artist painting the portrait.
