"On The Trail of Lee"
This painting is unique for many reasons. We are actually standing on a very old railroad bed predating the Civil War. Both General Lee and General Sherman used this line during the last months of the war. The chimneys you see in the background are from the plantation house that once stood in this cotton country of the south. The tracks are gone and the house as well now. Our fox is being leisurely about scooting off for scenting is terrible with the approaching weather and hounds do not know how close he is.
