Editor's note: The following entries are written by Yo Yo himself and he leaves them outside his stall door for me to find and post. He checks the site out on his computer mounted over his feed tub and sends me a flame if I am late getting it up on the net. He does like to hear from his friends so if you wish to e-mail him here's his MAILBOX.

1997-1998 Season Notes

October 16, 1999

Well I am BACK!! Yes I am truly the bionic horse and am feeling very well indeed. I can tell you however, that this summer sucked in spite of lots of green grass. I had terrible allergies to some kinds of mold spores in the grass that had me all stuffed up and made breathing pretty hard. They call it SPCOPD I think but knowing that didn't make me feel any better. I got an inhaler, I got all kinds of junk and it made me better. But the good old change in weather and some of Mom's magic is doing the trick and I have been foxhunting already! ( she has concocted some neat tonic that she puts in my feed that tastes delicious and is really helping me.)

The most interesting item of late was Mrs. Moss's 90th birthday party. I got invited to present myself in the ring all by myself with tons of people there. I didn't see all the others because I was in the beauty parlor getting spruced up. Mom had to yak into some funny looking stick that echoed all over the place and then everyone clapped so I assumed it was for me! They took my picture and all that and I walked along the rail and would you know...not one person had a carrot, a cookie or anything. Bummer.

But the next day we went hunting and Joe went also ( remember he is the little precious red twit I have to live with). I was really put out from all that do the afternoon before with no snacks and I just could not contain myself any longer.....I put in what some said was my record buck. Mom lost the reins, her stirrup and nearly her seat with it.. there was so much air between us I really had to figure out how to keep her in the saddle. Yahoo...I said ,yippee yi kiyo!!! Mom was a little white and not too pleased but I thought it was about time folks realized that I was not retiring. Why can't people understand you just have to let loose once in a while.

Then remember the little red twit?......talk about insult upon injury. Mom decided to hunt him and leave me home!!! And....they went in my van! I was dumfounded....this has never happened, and I am going fine. Apparently she decided to test him out and he was really good and didn't buck or spook or anything. How disgusting! I talked to the yard man for 3 hours while they were away and he agreed it was a travesty. I got bribed with lots of pears etc but I am holding out for my ride. Maybe if I make them feel really guilty I can go all the time. It wouldn't be so bad if Joe hadn't raved about the day for half the night......all I wanted to do was eat in peace after that. He needs to take up TM or something don't you think? Let me know! Well, I'll be back soon with good stories for you. It is going to be another wonderful year, I can smell it!

First of all I haven't posted much this year because I have been so busy hunting 2 and 3 days a week. I even amaze myself!
