"Ghosts"

The Adams house is in several of the South Carolina paintings. It is a large residence and although crumbling slowly, it has withstood hurricanes that left other more modern structures flat. The two young hounds have heard a spook in the house and are momentarily distracted from their business. Riders can be seen in the background to the right of the house. The angle of the light made this a tricky painting that necessitated another visit to the site with watercolors to capture the unusual tones in the rusted roof.
