"Leaving Arrowhead Hill"
This is one of the artist's favorite paintings and is not in the sale barn. It get's it's title from an incident that took place one hunting day. At a spot right in the foreground of the painting Claudia spotted an arrowhead on the ground as she sat on her horse. At the same time the huntsman put hounds into cover on the left and they opened and we viewed a fox. She had jumped off Yo Yo to retreive the arrowhead and everyone was galloping off behind hounds. With new stiff stirrup leathers to add to the dilema she nearly didn't get back on. Only because Yo Yo is so patient (he is17hands) that with a lot of effort she climbed back on with the prize in her pocket. It made for great lunch conversation later on the at Firehouse Restaurant. You will also note the unusual cloud patterns that day. A front had moved through and the two very highlayers of clouds were moving in two different directions
